Silky Chocolate Pudding, Easy & Irresistible Dessert for Chocolate Lovers
Prep Time 10 minutes
Servings: 2
Course: Dessert, Snack

Ingredients

  • 500 g milk 2 cups + 2 tbsp - regular or plant-based
  • 150 g chocolate 5.2 oz
  • 60 g butter 1/4 cup
  • 60 g sugar 1/4 cup
  • 40 g cornstarch 1/3 cup
  • A pinch of salt
  • Cocoa powder for garnish

Method

  1. Melt butter, sugar and a pinch of salt in a saucepan.
  2. Add chopped dark chocolate.
  3. Sift in the cornstarch until you get a smooth pasty consistency.
  4. Gradually pour in the milk while continuously whisking to create a smooth mixture.
  5. Cook until it thickens for about 5 minutes.
  6. Pour the pudding into slightly oiled individual serving dishes or a large bowl. Let it cool at room temperature for a bit before refrigerating.
  7. Cover the pudding with plastic wrap, making sure it touches the surface to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until it's completely chilled and set.
  8. Once the pudding is chilled, you can serve it as is or with a topping of your choice. Cocoa powder, whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries are great options.
